Karen Vetter

Ceramic Arts

Karen Vetter’s Dreams to Reality Pottery Co. creates functional,  handmade pottery in a studio located in Spanish Springs, Nevada. Karen has been a potter for more than 23 years and has taught adult and children's classes at the Nevada Museum of Art, Brown Elementary School and currently at her home studio.

The Functional Pottery collection adheres to a motto that tools of everyday life shouldn’t be dull. The earth is expressive and Karen brings that out in the glaze colors and clay textures. These pieces are dishwasher, oven and microwave safe.

Karen also produces high-temperature Wood Fire pieces for strength, texture and color. These works pull the “nature” out of her glazes and highlight the organic feel of the  clay. She also conduct Raku and Pit Fired techniques that connect with ancient peoples and their connections with the earth.

North Tahoe Arts is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to support the arts in the North Tahoe-Truckee communities through exposure, education and participation.
