Art Sale & Live Auction Fundraiser  

North Tahoe Arts fourth annual ‘Raising Monet’ Art Sale and Live Auction at the Art Center in Tahoe City was a big success!  We recieved many fine donations from our members.  The event began with an Opening Reception and Live Auction on August 29th at the North Tahoe Art Center and it ran through September 22nd. 

This event is the primary annual fundraiser for North Tahoe Arts.  Money raised helps North Tahoe Arts continue to provide programs and services as we work to fulfill our mission of supporting the art community throughout the North Lake Tahoe-Truckee region.  These programs include the monthly exhibits at the Art Center, ARTour, ARTisan Shop, ART in Public Places, and YouthART camp.

Many of the donated pieces sold over the length of the show.  We received a great deal of support during this event.  We also had our first Live Auction! Anne Chadwick, one of NTA's Board Members, invited and hosted Dan Macon and family to auction several pieces.  Dan provided his humor and professional talents for the benefit of North Tahoe Arts, generously volunteering his time. Donations of original work as well as prints and other pieces made Raising Monet a balanced and
attractive exhibit to visitors and locals. We received donations from members and artists - a wine rack
crafted by Tom Beebe, a custom wood worker; a donation of consulting time by Spirit Gallery; several
pieces donated by Andy Skaff; an oil by Don Eagling; a bronze piece by the late Jim Hacker; several original
and print pieces by long time member Audrey Dygert; and donations from Adam Peot, a relatively
new artist who has grown and matured artistically the last few years.  This is only the tip of the iceberg of
what you missed if you didn’t stop by the Art Center.  North Tahoe Arts continues to change and evolve
and it remains viable because of you, our members, our artists, our donors and our dedicated volunteers.
