Kids Art Saturday
Kids Art Saturdays is a program that began in 2009. It pairs artists with children from 5 to 12 years old to work on an art project in the Corison Loft Gallery on a Saturday.
Kids Art Saturday Dates for 2012
March 3 - "Paint the Bear" after the SnowFest Parade, 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Come visit our upstairs gallery with your children to learn more about our local bears through the Bear League of Tahoe. Visit a bear den and paint a wooden bear. Refreshments provided.
Beginning March 10 - Music Together program, a 12 week program taught by Brooke Chabot.
Ages: 0-5 with Parent/Guardian Participation
Cost: $100 per child plus $38 Materials Fee
Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program.
April 14 - Kids Tea Party Bring the kids to share in a fun tea party with a local artist, in conjunction with the gallery exhibit "A Child's World".
The days and projects vary. Artists volunteer their time to give children a chance to work on a project that is meant to be taken home. Parents must remain with the children. Projects have included water painting, Valentine Cards, cartooning, fun with markers, Paint the Bear, and Christmas and Hanukah crafts. Kids Art Camp
Group Art Camp Project
Kids Art Camp is a tradition during the summers at North Tahoe Arts. Much of the camp takes place out doors and snacks are provided. Each week offers something different. Daily drop in spots are available on some days.
