![]() |
Joel is noted for his traditional approach to watercolor, in particular, his use of green, which has been passed down to him by a teacher who studied with the highly regarded artist and instructor Frank Vincent DuMond (1865 - 1951). He has adapted DuMond's principles and palette to his methods in watercolor. His paintings, often described as "tranquil, full of light and air," are based upon his plein air sketches.
ARTists
In our twenty first year of operation, North Tahoe Arts (NTA) continues to spotlight the talented pool of local artists and occasionally visiting artists, for monthly exhibits. NTA hosts a variety of programs, exhibits, and activities thanks to a healthy corps of volunteers.
